9 TROUBLESHOOTING
The following explains the types of errors that may occur when the QD62 (E/D) is
used, and how to troubleshoot them.
9.1 Error Information
The error information detected by the QD62 (E/D) is listed in the following chart.
Description/cause
Overflow error
1) When the linear counter
was used, an add pulse
was further input from the
current value 2147483647
2) When the linear counter
was used, a subtract pulse
was further input from the
current value -2147483647
Fuse broken detection
1) The fuse for the
coincidence signal external
output section has blown.
If voltage is not being supplied to the external power supply input terminal, a broken
fuse will not be detected.

1) Module status display on the GX Developer system
monitor screen
No status display: No overflow detected (no error)
Module error
: Overflow being occurred
2) Overflow detection flag
The following value is stored in buffer memory

3) "Module error status bit" of the module information
read with the UNIRD instruction
00: No overflow detected (no module error)
10: Overflow being occurred (Moderate error)
1) FUSE LED on the front of the module (red)
Off: No broken fuse detected
On: Broken fuse detected
2) Fuse broken detection flag (X0F)
Off: No broken fuse detected
On: Broken fuse detected
3) "Broken fuse occurrence indicating bit" of the
module information read with the UNIRD
instruction
Off: No broken fuse detected
On: Broken fuse detected

Corrective action
Preset to clear the overflow error.
The fuse must be replaced by a
technician from the Service
Center. Consult with our branch
office or distributor with detailed
description.
