TROUBLESHOOTING

If the Concertmate-580 is not performing as it should, these suggestions might help.
If you still cannot solve the problem, take the keyboard to your local Radio Shack
store for assistance.
Trouble
No sound, even if keys
are pressed.
No rhythm.
No accompaniment.
Occasional sound inter-
ference.
No sound when connect-
ed to an external amplifi-
er.

Possible Cause
1. POWER is set to OFF.
2. MASTER VOL. is
turned down.
3. Headphones are con-
nected.
4. Power supply prob-
lem.
MASTER VOL. or
RHYTHM VOL. is turned
down.
1. MASTER VOL. or
A.B.C. VOL. is turned
down.
2. Accompaniment but-
ton not pressed.
A refrigerator, washing
machine, or similar electric
appliance is causing inter-
ference.
1. POWER is set to OFF.
2. MASTER VOL. is
turned down.
3. Defective connection
cord.
4. Problem with external
amplifier.
Remedy
1. Set POWER to ON.
2. Turn up MASTER VOL.
3. Disconnect headphones.
4. Check the power supply.
• Are battery symbols (+/
–) facing correctly?
• Are the batteries fresh?
• Is the AC adapter con-
nected correctly?
Adjust MASTER VOL. or
RHYTHM VOL.
1. Adjust MASTER VOL. or
A.B.C. VOL.
2. Press SINGLE FINGER
or FINGERED.
Use an outlet on a different
electrical circuit than the inter-
fering appliance.
1. Set POWER to ON.
2. Turn up MASTER VOL.
3. Replace the connection
cord.
4. Check the external ampli-
fier.
