    CONNECTING AND CHARGING THE BATTERY The ET-550 comes with a recharge- able nickel-cadmium battery installed in the handset. Before using your phone’s handset, you must connect the battery, then charge it for about 14 hours.

    USING THE PAGING/ INTERCOM FEATURES When a call is not in progress, you can use the ET-550 as a two-way pager and intercom between the base and the handset.
