Causes/check procedures
Broken side feeder feed
switch actuator.
Defective side feeder feed
switch.
Check if the side feeder
drive motor malfunctions.
Electrical problem with the
side feeder drive motor.
Broken side feeder feed
switch actuator.
Defective side feeder feed
switch.
Check if the side feeder
drive motor malfunctions.
Electrical problem with the
side feeder drive motor.
Defective feed switch 1.
Broken side feeder feed
switch actuator.
Defective side feeder feed
switch.
The vertical feed roller or
feed B roller is dirty with
paper powder.
The vertical feed roller or
feed B roller is deformed or
worn.
Corrective measures
Check visually and replace the side feeder feed switch if its actua-
tor is broken.
Run maintenance item U031 and turn the side feeder feed switch
on and off manually. Replace the side feeder feed switch if indica-
tion of the corresponding sensor on the touch panel is not dis-
played in reverse.
Run maintenance item U247 and select the side feeder drive
motor on the touch panel to be turned on and off. Check the status
and remedy if necessary.
Check.
Check visually and replace the side feeder feed switch if its actua-
tor is broken.
Run maintenance item U031 and turn the side feeder feed switch
on and off manually. Replace the side feeder feed switch if indica-
tion of the corresponding sensor on the touch panel is not dis-
played in reverse.
Run maintenance item U247 and select the side feeder drive
motor on the touch panel to be turned on and off. Check the status
and remedy if necessary.
Check.
Run maintenance item U031 and turn feed switch 1 on and off
manually. Replace feed switch 1 if indication of the corresponding
sensor on the touch panel is not displayed in reverse.
Check visually and replace the side feeder feed switch if its actua-
tor is broken.
Run maintenance item U031 and turn the side feeder feed switch
on and off manually. Replace the side feeder feed switch if indica-
tion of the corresponding sensor on the touch panel is not dis-
played in reverse.
Check and, if it is dirty, clean it.
Check and, if it is deformed or worn, fix or replace it.
