b. Remove the processor mezzanine tray (Removing and replacing the processor mezzanine tray on
page 43).
c. Remove the 2P pass-through performance board (Removing and replacing the 2P pass-through
performance board on page 48).
6. Remove the fan cage (Removing and replacing the fan cage on page 40).
7. Remove the DIMMs installed on the system board (Removing and replacing a DIMM on page 47).
8. Remove the processor-heatsink modules installed on the system board (Removing and replacing a
processor-heatsink module on page 43).
9. Remove the smart storage batteries (Removing and replacing a Smart Storage Battery on page 57).
10. Remove the PCIe riser cages (Removing and replacing a PCIe riser cage on page 51).
11. Remove the Smart Array controller (Removing and replacing a Smart Array controller on page 65).
12. Remove the FlexLOM (Removing and replacing the FlexibleLOM on page 56).
13. Disconnect all cables connected to the system board.
14. Remove the system board:
a. Remove the screws from the side of the server.
b. Loosen the thumbscrew.
c. Slide the system board toward the front of the server, and then lift it from the server.
