Select the operating system installed on your computer.

Scroll down the page and expand BIOS.

Click Download to download the latest version of the BIOS for your computer.

After the download is complete, navigate to the folder where you saved the BIOS
update file.

Double-click the BIOS update file icon and follow the instructions on the screen.

Copy the BIOS setup program file to the bootable USB drive.

Connect the bootable USB drive to the computer that needs the BIOS update.

Restart the computer and press F12 when the Dell logo is displayed on the
screen.

Boot to the USB drive from the One Time Boot Menu.

Type the BIOS setup program filename and press Enter.

The BIOS Update Utility appears. Follow the instructions on the screen to
complete the BIOS update.

Fixing a no-boot issue caused by USB-boot
support
Sometimes the computer does not boot to the operating system when USB devices
are connected to the computer during startup. This behavior occurs because the
computer is looking for bootable files in connected USB devices.
