5. Release the throttle trigger and make sure that the
saw chain stops and remains stationary. If the saw
chain rotates when the throttle trigger is in the idle
position, contact your servicing dealer.
To do a check of the chain catcher
1. Make sure that there is no damage on the chain
catcher.
2. Make sure that the chain catcher is stable and
attached to the body of the product.
To do a check of the right hand guard
• Do a check of the right hand guard to make sure that
it is not damaged and that there are no visible
defects, such as cracks.
To do a check of the vibration damping
system
1. Do a check of the vibration damping units to make
sure that there are no cracks or deformation.
2. Make sure that the vibration damping units are
securely attached to the engine unit and handle unit.
To do a check of the start/stop switch
1. Start the engine.

2. Press the start/stop switch downwards to the STOP
position. Make sure that the engine stops when you
do this.
WARNING: The start/stop switch
automatically returns to run position. In order
to prevent unintentional starting, the spark
plug cap must be removed from the spark
plug when assembling, checking and/or
performing maintenance.
Autotune
The engine is equipped with AutoTune. AutoTune is a
function that adjusts the carburettor electronically,
always resulting in optimal adjustment.
The carburettor controls the speed of the engine via the
throttle. Air/fuel is mixed in the carburettor. This air/fuel
mixture is automatically adjusted. The automatic
adjustment of the carburettor means that the engine is
adapted to local conditions, for example the climate,
altitude, petrol and the type of 2-stroke oil. This function
is controlled by AutoTune.
Note: The ignition system includes an in-built speed
limiter, which prevents the speed of the engine
exceeding 13,300 rpm. When the speed governor is
activated, you will get the same sound experience as
when the product 4-cycles.
• Always make sure that the saw chain does not rotate
when idling.
WARNING: If the saw chain rotates while
idling, contact your servicing dealer. Do not
use the product until it has been properly
adjusted or repaired.
To do a check of the muffler
1. Make sure that the muffler is not damaged.
WARNING: Never use a product that
has a faulty muffler or a muffler that is in
poor condition.
