Description
Parameters of this form specify device file
information
where
model
specifies an I/O-device model
number and must be one of those pre-
viously listed under "General Syn-
tax of Input Parameters". xx used in
model requires M:IOEX option.
dn
specifies the hardware device
number for the unit.
{Ll
indicates the file type: B if
background, F if foreground,
DI if Debug input, DO if
Debug output.
(DI and DO will
only be accepted if DEBUG has
been included as an optional
feature) •

specifies the lOP ( for a multi-

unit controller).
I specifies
"'-, th~ IIOP or IOP1, E specifies the
EIO/:tor,JQP2. I is assumed by de-
fault.

BCD
indicates that BCD (026 key-

Seven-track magnetic tapes 7362
or 7372 with BCD option.
ASC
indicates that ASCII code con-
version is tobe invoked by default.
ASCII code conversion is avai lable
only for 9-trackmagnetic tape 3325
and 3335 which have the 1046ASCII
translation option installed. If ASC
is not specified, no code conversion
(EBCDIC) is the default mode.
