A
Temporary
Hyphen
enables
you
to
hyphenate
words
that
fall
within
the
Hot
Zone
(between
the
bell
and
the right
margin).
A
Temporary
Hyphen
triggers
an
Auto
Return and should only
be
used
in
the
AUTO
typing
mode.
Because
the
temporary
hyphen
enables
you
to
fit
more
characters
on a
line,
it
gives
the right
margin
a
less
ragged appearance.
Inserting
a
Temporary Hyphen

Type
until
you
hear
the
"beep"
(bell)
as
you
near
the
end of
the
line

CODE

HYPHEN

at
the desired
hyphenation
point
The
character
after
the
hyphen
will trigger
an automatic
return.
