7.6.1 Cleaning the Printer

For continued reliability and image quality, you should perform the Printer
Cleaning procedure each time a new Imaging Cartridge is installed, or if the 2030
is experiencing paper misfeeds. Failure to do so can cause jams and/or damage
to the unit.
The Printer Cleaning Procedure generates 3 sheets of Cleaning Paper that are
then used to clean the fuser rollers in the Model 2030 paper path.
Do This
1. Press FEATURES.
2. Press 12 and then YES.
After a few
automatically print 3 test charts with a diagonal black
pattern that will be delivered, face up, into the Paper
Exit Tray.
Then the display will read:
3. When the test charts have been printed, remove them
from the Paper Exit Tray and place them, face up, in
the Upper Cassette. Close the Cassette. Press YES.
