Updating the map data
The DVD with the update must be transferred
over to the car's navigation system. This is
done with the car's normal DVD player.
1. Start the engine.
2. Insert the DVD with the update in the DVD
player. An update may be distributed over
several discs - in which case, eject the
discs in the logical/numerical order.
3. The display screen shows what the update
consists of and the approximate time the
Yes
process takes - Answer
question of whether updating should be
carried out.
4. After having selected
Yes
+ OK - Follow
the instructions on the display screen.
NOTE
Updating of map data can in some cases
also introduce new functions to the system,
which are not described in this manual.
Interrupted update
If the update is not finished when the engine is
switched off then the process continues the
next time the engine is started, from where it
was interrupted.
NOTE
The navigation system can be used while
updating - although with certain functions
reduced or shut off.
