Troubleshooting

If you encounter a problem with your phone, first refer to this Troubleshooting Guide before contacting your service provider.
Symptom
Enter PIN" is shown when the phone is switched on.
"Insert UIM" is shown when the phone is switched on
"Enter password" is shown when the phone is switched on
No key tone when pressing keys.
No incoming ring tone.
No alarm tone when the reminder time reaches
A phone number cannot be dialed
Short message cannot be sent.
Some menus related to voice setting couldn't be used
Why does the battery get shorter in standby mode?
Why does the battery run out so quickly during normal use?
Why does the handset get warm up?
Resolution
Input the PIN or input the new PIN if you have changed the code. The code can be set "off" if you do not want to input.
Turn off your phone and make sure that you have inserted a valid UIM card.
Enter the handset lock code or the new code if you have changed it. The code can be set "off" if you do not want to input. (Please
refer to Section "Security Settings".)
Check the key tone setting in the profile.
Check the ringing tone and ringing volume settings in the profile
Check the profile setting and the alarm ring setting
Check whether call restriction is set to the number. Please refer to Section "Call Barring".
Check the SMS center setting in the SMS-Settings menu
Check the profile settings
The battery is worn out. As time passed, the battery life gradually becomes shorter. If battery lasts about the amount of time as
when first purchased, it's time to purchase a new battery
It is due to the user environment or a large number of calls or weak signal
The phone may get hot when there is a very long call duration or when using the browser. This has no effect the life of the product
or performance
