ANTENNAS
Antenna grounding according to the National
Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70
Be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protection
against voltage surges and built-up static charges.
Scction 810 of the National Electrical Code (NEC) in USA and Section
54 of the Canadian Electrical Code in Canada provides information with
respect to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure,
grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of
grounding conductors, location of antenna dischargc unit, connection to
grounding electrodes. and requirements for the grounding electrode.
Outdoor antenna grounding
If an outdoor antenna is installed, follow the precautions below. An
outdoor antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead
power lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can come
in contact with such power lines or circuits.
WHEN INSTALLING AN OUTDOOR ANTENNA SYSTEM,
EXTREME CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO KEEP FROM
CONTACTING SUCH POWER LINES OR CIRCUITS AS CONTACT
WITH THEM IS ALMOST INVARIABL Y FATAL.
Do not allow your skin to remain in contact with the TV or AC power
adapter for a long period of timc. Otherwise, they may get hot and cause
a heat-rash or blister.
BATTERIES
CAUTION: Danger of explosion if baltery is incorrectly replaced.
Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

D Do not short circuit, disassemble or overheat the balteries.
SOUND
if a snapping or popping sound from the TV is
continuous or frequent while the TV is operating,
unplug the TV and consult your dealer or service
technician. It is normal for some TV's to make
occasional snapping or popping sounds, particu-
larly when being turned on or oil.
