• Begin drilling at a very low speed to prevent the bit from slipping o the starting point. Increase the speed as the drill bit bites into the material. • When drilling through holes, place a block of wood behind the work-piece to prevent ragged or splintered edges on the back side of the hole.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Wipe the drill using a well-wrung cloth after use and always keep the surface and ventilation holes free of dirt. Never use corrosive or abrasive detergents, as they may attack the plastic parts of the machine. Replacing carbon brushes For safety reasons, the machine automatically switches o if the carbon brushes are so worn out that they no longer have contact with the motor.
