    Programming a Personal Passcode Programming Your Personal Passcode For security reasons, it is very important that you program your own personal Passcode into the digital lock. The factory Passcode Memory 159# Button should be changed immediately. (159#) Using the factory assigned Passcode , open the safe.

    Using the Emergency Override Key Using the Emergency Override Key Your safe is equipped with an Emergency Override Key which allows immediate access in case you forget your Passcode or the batteries need replacing. Press firmly in on the dotted arrow on the front of the battery cover and push downward to open.

    Checking, Changing and Installing New Batteries Checking Batteries Your new safe arrived with 4-AA batteries pre-installed at the factory. It is important to periodically check the batteries and, if necessary, replace with a new set. Locate the # key on the keypad and press. If the amber LED flashes and you hear a beep, the batteries # Symbol are good.

    Additional Features Mounting Hardware Kit Many customers prefer to bolt their safe to the wall or floor to increase protection from theft and resistance to tipping. This safe was manufactured with (4) bolt-down holes pre-drilled in the back panel and (4) in the floor. To secure your safe to the wall and/or floor: Remove the felt liner from the floor of the safe and locate the pre-drilled holes.

    Key Number Locating Model and Serial Numbers Most Honeywell safes include a small metallic silver or gray tag affixed to one of the surfaces. This tag is usually located on the front or right side of the safe. This tag contains the Serial Number, and on selected models a similar tag is attached containing the Model Number.

  • Page 15 Safe Identification Record Model Number Serial Number Key Number Digital Passcode Record Your Passcode must be at least 3 digits and no more than 9 digits followed by the # key. Important: Once your personal Passcode is programmed, the factory pre-set code will no longer open the safe.
