If your edger attachment does not include a handlebar, a handlebar accessory kit (#530071864) is available from your authorized service dealer. WARNING: A coasting blade can cause injury while it continues to move after the engine is stopped. Maintain proper control of the unit until the blade has completely stopped mov- ing. ATTACHING SHIELD (for line trimmer attachment) WARNING: The shield must be prop- erly installed. The shield provides partial protec- tion from the risk of thrown objects to the opera- tor and others and is equipped with a line limiter blade which cuts excess line to the proper length.

Poulan oil resists high temperature thinning. If Poulan bar and chain oil is not available, use a good grade SAE 30 oil. S Never use waste oil for bar and chain lubri- cation.

If your pruner cuts to one side, has to be forced through the cut, or been run with an im- proper amount of bar lubrication it may be necessary to service your bar. A worn bar will damage your chain and make cutting difficult. After each use, with unit disconnected from power source, clean all sawdust from the guide bar and sprocket hole.
