Telephone operation

Character chart

Use the dial pad and the chart below to enter a name (up to 15 characters).
Each press of a particular key causes the characters to be displayed in the
following order:

Review the directory
From the telephone base or the handset:
Entries are sorted alphabetically. To search the directory:
1. Press
handset when it is not in use.

Press the MENU softkey when the telephone base
or handset is not in use. Press
the telephone base or
> DIRECTORY and then press the MENU softkey twice.

From the telephone base or the handset:

To start an alphabetical search:
1. Press
z handset when it is not in use.

Press the MENU softkey when the telephone base or handset is not in
use. Press
handset to select > DIRECTORY and then press the MENU softkey twice.
2. Use the dialing keys to enter the letters associated with the name. For
example, if you have name entries Jenny, Kristen and Linda in your
directory, press 5
