Pairing Your Bluetooth Device

Whenever AC power is connected, the iBT231 will attempt to autolink to a previously paired
device. If no device is paired, the iBT231 will automatically enter pairing mode for 2 minutes.
For manual pairing, follow steps below.
1. Turn on your Bluetooth device and make it "discoverable" by turning
on Bluetooth mode (check in Options or Settings).
2. Press the Power/Alarm Reset Button to turn on the unit.
3. Press the Mode Button to cycle to Bluetooth mode, indicated by "BT"
on the display.
4. Press and hold the

iBT231 will beep and "PAIR" and the Bluetooth
display, indicating the iBT231 is in pairing mode.

5. "iHome iBT231" should appear in your device's Bluetooth menu. Select
"iHome iBT231" to connect it. If prompted for a passcode, enter "1234" on
your device's keypad.
6. If pairing is successful, "BT" will appear at the bottom of the display, the Bluetooth icon
will appear solid and 2 beeps will sound, indicating the iBT231 is ready to play music.
There should also be an indication on your device. If no device is successfully paired
within 2 minutes the iBT231 will default to previous mode. Once the iBT231 is paired to a
device, it will attempt to autolink when the device is within range (about 33 feet).
