Message

In this menu, you can:
• write new SMS (Short Message Service)
messages and check your incoming messages.
• use the U-MAIL service, provided by your service
provider.
Your phone can receive voice mail messages, text
messages, and web messages from your web server.
Your phone can also send text messages if your
system supplier provides this service.
Incoming messages are received even when your
phone is in the lock mode. However, the screen will
not display information about the message. To
access the message, you need to unlock the phone.
If you receive an incoming message during a call
conversation, your phone sounds an alert tone or
vibrates, depending on your sound settings.
Note: You can quickly enter this menu by pressing
and holding
in Standby Mode.
New Message

You can create short text messages and send them
to multiple mobile phones.

1. Enter the message contents and press the OK soft
key.
You can enter up to 140 characters in Chinese or
160 characters in English. To change the input
mode, press the Mode soft key and press the
navigation keys to find the desired mode. For
more information on entering text, see page 41.
You can use up to 20 canned messages by
pressing the Mode soft key and selecting
Canned msg. Select a message from the list.
For more information about canned msg, see
page 84.
2. Select one of the following options, and press the
OK soft key.
• Send & Save: allows you to save a copy of the
message and then send the message to the
required destination. You can read the message
in your Outbox.
• Send only: allows you to send the message.
The message will be deleted after sending.
• Save only: allows you to save the message so
that it can be sent later. You can read the
message in your Outbox.
3. Enter a phone number.
If you press the Menu soft key and select Phone
Book, you can search your Phonebook for a
number.
