Symptom
Scanning speed is too slow
using the USB connection.
The ADF door does not
open when the ADF door
release is pushed.
(ADF) The document has
been loaded on the feeder
tray, but the scanner does
not start scanning.
(ADF) Double feeding or
skewing problems occur
frequently, or the scanner
stops loading while
scanning.
(ADF) Scanned image is
skewed.
(ADF) The scanned
document is blank.
Possible Cause
The scanner is connected with a USB
1.1 interface.
The ADF door is not closed properly.
The document is not loaded properly.
The sensor cannot detect the
document because the edge of the
document is curled.
The rollers are dirty.
The rollers have reached their life
expectancy.
The document is curled or folded.
The document guides are not adjusted
to the size of the document to be
scanned.
The document to be scanned is
positioned at a slant on the feeder tray.
The right and left sides of the
document to be scanned are not the
same height because of curls or folds.
The document to be scanned was
loaded facing down (upside down).

Remedy
Verify the type of USB interface.
Connect with a USB 2.0 interface.
(1) Push the ADF door release button
and lift up the ADF door. See
(2) Close the ADF door securely until it
is locked. Do not slam the ADF door.
Load the document properly.
