2 Exit the Emergency state by
pressing the Emergency
button again for about one
second (the time may be
changed by a qualified
technician). A medium-
pitched tone sounds until you
release the button. The radio
returns to normal operation.

Send a Silent Emergency Alarm

1 Press the Emergency button if your radio is programmed for
this use.
LED does not light and no tones sound.
2 Press the PTT button to enable the audio and exit Silent
Emergency Alarm. The silent alarm is cancelled without an exit
tone, and you can begin transmitting voice calls.
Note: While in Silent Emergency Alarm with Emergency Call,
press the PTT button to enter Emergency Call operation.

Send an Emergency Call

An Emergency Call will send a type of dispatch giving your radio
priority access to channels.
1 Press the Emergency button if your radio is programmed for
this use.
2 Press and hold the PTT button and announce the emergency
into the microphone to send the Emergency call.
3 Release the PTT button to end the call.
