Function of the infrared reflective wind‐
shield
The infrared reflective windshield is coated and
prevents an excessive build-up of heat in the
vehicle interior.
The coating shields the vehicle interior against
radio waves up into the gigahertz range.
Radio-controlled equipment, such as toll sys‐
tems, can only be mounted on areas of the wind‐
shield which are permeable to radio waves 1.
