G) Status LED's - These lights indicate when the amplifier is powered up normally and when there is o protection fault. The Protect
LED is laminated when there is o problem with your amplifier. Please contact your authorize CVM dealer or coll CVM's technical support.
@ Input Gain Adjustment - This control matches the preamp stage of the Cerwin-Vego Mobile amplifier to your source unit.
This is NOT o volume control. The range is between oprox 0.2mV and SV.
®
Input Configuration - This switch parallels the input circuit if you ore using o single stereo pair of outputs from your heodunit
or from on auxiliary device (like o Smortphone, etc). The S channel model (Vl ODO.SD) is set up to accept 2/ 4/ond S channels of input.
@ Crossover Selection Switch - This switch allows you to select the crossover. Use High Poss for midrange or high frequency
speakers. Use low Poss for subwoofers. In the FIAT position, neither crossover adjustment knob hos on affect and all speakers will receive the
full frequency range.
®
HPF Crossover Adjustment - Use this odjustment to select the crossover point. Remember that you must select the High Poss
position (HPF) of the crossover adjustment switch first. The range of adjustment is limited between 4D-400Hz (Vl 1 DO.SD is 30-300 Hz (· 12dB).
©
LPF Crossover Adjustment - Use this odjustment to select the crossover point. Remember that you must select the low Poss
position (LPF) of the crossover adjustment switch first. The range of adjustment is limited between 40-400 Hz (· 12dB).
(z)
Output Clipping Indicator - This light indicates that the output of the amplifier is cliipping. Use this light to help set gains.
®veg a Bass Boost - This control odds O to+ 18dB of boost ot whatever BASS frequency above hos been chosen. Be cautious when
adding boost to some subwoofer systems os they may not be able to handle the odditionol low frequency boost.
®
RCA In put - The RCA jocks allow for o normol left and Right channel signol input. Simply connect to the source unit using RCA type
oudio cables, keeping them owoy from power wiring wherever possible to reduce risk of noise.
@sub-Sonic Adjustment - This control allows you to remove the unwonted sub1onic frequencies below the tuning frequency of
o ported enclosure. This helps to protect the woofer from over excursion.
@ Phase - This control gives the installer o unique feature that allows the variable odjusment of phase 0-180 degrees to
compensate for subwoofer placement. Allowing the subwoofer to sound like irs ploced in the front of the vehicle instead of the trunk.
@Remote Level Control - Vl 1 OD.SO omplifer hos this port for the remote level control (included). The control is intended to allow
the user to control the level of gain up to the moximum adjustment level set on the amplifier for the subwoofer output. The control does not odd
additional boost, it only ottenuotes the setting that is fixed at the amplifier's control panel.
@Power Fuses - Stondord automotive type ATC/ATO fuses ore used on Cerwin Vega Mobile amplifiers. Always replace with the correct fuse
size. Never insert fuses of higher values. Doing so will void the warranty of your Cerwin Vega Mobile amplifier. Also include o main fuse at the
connection to the vehicle battery within 18 inches of the positive bottery post. It is also important to upgrade the connection between the negative
battery post and the chassis of the vehicle. This greotly reduces possibilities of weak electrical ·links· in the circuit.
Speaker Output Terminals - Connect your speakers to these terminols. Stereo connections ore connected as labeled. Bridged
connections use the LEFT+ ond RIGHT · os the two connections. The 2 and 4 channel amplifiers will perform into 2 Ohm stereo loods or 4 Ohm
bridged loads. DO NOT run 2 Ohm bridged loads on these amplifiers! The mono blocks will run 2 ohms mono, BUT NOT 1 ohm mono!
@ Power Input Connections - These connections ore for input power, chassis ground, and remote turn-on. Use o minimum of
8 gouge wiring for power ond ground connections. 4 Guage is recommended for the mono block. The terminals will handle up to 8 gauge wiring
with no problem whatsoever( 4 guage on the mono block). Be sure any wiring that passes through metal has a grommet!
