When unpacking, check to make sure that all the parts are included. Refer to the Figure B
below, and the Assembly Drawing and Parts List at the end of this manual. If any parts are
missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number on the cover of this
manual as soon as possible.
Mounting Hole
4-Hex Wrenches,
1-17/19 mm Combination,
and 2-Spanner Wrenches
1.
Find a location for the workbench and lathe where there are no obstructions around
or above the workbench, and with plenty of light.
2.
Select a workbench strong enough to hold the weight of the Wood Lathe, related
tools, and stock.
3.
Measure the thickness of the workbench and the lathe feet.
Note: Place the Headstock close enough to the left side / front edges of the workbench to
enable outboard operations if necessary.
4.
Mark and drill four 3/8" holes through the lathe and workbench using the lathe Bed
mounting holes as a template. Refer to Figure B, above.
5.
Position the Wood Lathe on the workbench and line up the mounting holes.
6.
Obtain four 5/16" x 2" carriage bolts (not supplied) to mount the lathe to the
workbench and place them through the holes.
7.
Securely tighten the nuts on the bolts from the underside of the workbench using lock
washers, flat washers, and nuts (not supplied).
