System BIOS Setup
This section describes how to specify the settings of Basic Input Output System (BIOS).
2.1
Overview
BIOS Setup Utility (SETUP) is software for specifying the BIOS settings. SETUP is pre-installed in the flash
memory of the workstation and ready to run.
You do not need to use SETUP usually because the default settings of BIOS are optimal settings for the
workstation. Use only at the case described in Chapter 3 (2.4 Cases That Need Using SETUP).
2.2
Starting SETUP
POST runs steps in Chapter 3 (1.1.1 POST sequence).
After a while, the following message appears at bottom left on the screen.
Press <F2> SETUP, <F4> ROM Utility, <F12> Network
When you press <F2> key at this time, SETUP starts and displays Main menu upon completion of POST.
You can also press <F2> key while NEC logo appears to display Main menu.
