Replacing Table
Height Chain
The table height chain transfers movement from
the elevation handwheel to the leadscrews that
control cutterhead height. Replace the chain drive
if the chain stretches over time or breaks.
Tools Needed
Needle Nose Pliers ............................................ 1
Hex Wrench 6mm .............................................. 1
To replace table height chain:
1.
DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!
2.
Gently tilt machine onto its side to expose
table height chain (see
sprokets.

Cotter Pin
3.
Locate chain connection clasp and remove
cotter pin to disconnect chain (see Figure 46).
4.
Clean and lubricate new chain and leadscrew
sprockets (refer to Table Height Chain
& Sprockets on Page 29 for detailed
instructions).
5.
Install chain around sprockets, and connect
chain with cotter pin.
