Reconfiguring using the Product Recovery CD-ROM(s)
If you want to change the hard disk partitions, see "Changing the Hard Disk
Partition" on page 60 for details.

Insert the Sony Product Recovery CD-ROM(s) into the CD-
ROM drive, then turn on your computer.
The "Product Recovery CD-ROM restore utility" screen appears.

When the screen message "Do you agree ro restart the
computer to initialize BIOS (Yes/ No)?" appears, press the
Y key, then press the Enter key.
Your computer restarts.

Follow the on-screen instructions.
When the confirmation message appears, press the Y key, then press
the Enter key.
Follow the on-screen instructions until the "menu" screen appears.
Select the recovery option, then follow the instructions. To cancel the
recovery, select "4", then press the Enter key.
When the recovery is complete, follow the screen messages to shut
down your computer, then restart it.

The second Sony Product Recovery CD-ROM (Vol.2 of 2) contains software drivers and
others. It is not required for reconfiguring your computer.
