Standard Setting

Shut off the engine.

Check the air filter and clean or
replace it as necessary.

muffler and clean or replace it as
necessary.
: Turn the high speed screw (H)

Engine stops while idling
: Turn the idle speed screw (LA)
clockwise until chain begins to run –
then back it off one quarter of a turn.
Chain runs when engine is idling

Adjustment for Operation at High
Altitudes
A slight correction of the setting may be
necessary if engine power is not
satisfactory when operating at high
altitude:

Check standard setting.

Warm up the engine.

Turn the high speed screw (H) and
the low speed screw (L) clockwise.
