Replacing Ink Cartridges

Prepare new ink cartridge(s). For best results, gently shake only the new
Black ink cartridge four or five times and then unpack.
備妥新的墨水匣。在打開包裝袋前，請先搖晃新的黑色墨水匣 4 到 5

You do not need to shake the color ink cartridges.

Remove only the yellow tape.

Open the scanner unit and press y. The print head moves. If the print
head does not move, hold down y for 6 seconds or more until it moves.
打開掃描單元並按下 y 鍵。印字頭會隨即移動。若印字頭沒有移動，
請按住 y 鍵 6 秒以上，直到印字頭移動為止。

The print head stops at the mark to indicate an expended or low-ink
cartridge.
印字頭停在 記號，代表墨水匣需要更換或墨水存量偏低。

Press y again to move the print head to the ink cartridge replacement
position.
再次按下 y 鍵 將印字頭移至墨水匣更換位置。
Q
If there is another expended or low-ink-level cartridge, the print
head stops to indicate the cartridge with the mark. Press y
repeatedly until it moves to the replacement position.
若有其他需要更換或墨水存量偏低的墨水匣，印字頭會停止並
以 記號指出該墨水匣。反覆按下 y 鍵，直到移至更換位置。

Never touch the ink cartridges while the print head is moving.
當印字頭移動時，切勿碰觸墨水匣。

Squeeze the tab on the ink cartridge and lift it out.
按壓墨水匣上的卡榫，將墨水匣取出。

Insert the new ink cartridge and press it down firmly.
插入新的墨水匣，並確實往下壓。

Close the scanner unit.
闔上掃描單元。
I
Press y. Charging ink is started.
按下 y 鍵。墨水設定會隨即開始。

Charging ink takes about 2 minutes. Wait until the light stops flashing.
進行墨水設定大約 2 分鐘。請等待燈號停止閃爍。

If you see missing segments or broken lines in your printouts, try
the following solutions.

Print a nozzle check pattern to check if the print head nozzles are clogged.
Turn off the printer, and then turn it back on while holding down y.
If you notice any missing segments or broken lines as shown in (b), go to
step B.
列印噴嘴檢查表單，查看印字頭噴嘴是否阻塞。關閉印表機電源，然
後在按住 y 的同時重新開啟電源。如果發現任何遺漏部分或斷線，如

Run the print head cleaning. Hold down y for 3 seconds until the power
light starts flashing.
The cleaning uses some ink from all cartridges, so run the cleaning only if
print quality declines on your prints.
執行印字頭清潔。按住 y 鍵 3 秒，直到電源燈號開始閃爍。
清潔程序會使用到所有墨水匣中的部份墨水，因此僅在列印成品的列
印品質降低時，再執行清潔程序。
