Powerline ethernet adapters

• The SYK3600 package contains two SYE3600 powerline ethernet adapters.
• The SYK5600 package contains two SYE5600 powerline ethernet adapters.

Troubleshooting

Problem
The security CD does not start.
The lights on the powerline
ethernet adapter do not come on.
The PL-LINK light does not
come on.
Unknown devices can access my
network.
I can access unknown devices on
my network
The speed between my powerline
ethernet adapters is low
The COL light flashes or comes
on.
Tip
Start the security CD manually:
1. Open My computer.
2. Right-click on the CD or DVD drive.
3. Click on Autorun.
Plug the powerline ethernet adapter into an active
power supply.
Connect two or more powerline ethernet adapters
to the home powerline wiring.
Plug the powerline ethernet adapters into active
power supplies.
Disable the personal security of all powerline
ethernet adapters. Refer to 'Disable security' on
page 12.
Enable personal security. Refer to 'Enable security'
on page 12.
Enable personal security. Refer to 'Enable security'
on page 12.
Refer to 'Powerline ethernet networks' on page 14.
The COL light can flash or come on under normal
circumstances.
