Names of the Main Keys and their Functions

[Esc] (escape) key
The usage is determined by the application software. It is often used to return to the
previous operation.
[F1]-[F12] (function) keys
The usage depends on the application software.
[Fn] key
A key unique to this computer; it has the following functions.
[Fn] + [F3]
[Fn] + [F5]
[Fn] + [F6]
[Fn] + [F7]
Critical Point
Luminance of the backlight of the LCD can be turned up (with [Fn]+[F7] keys) or turned down
(with [Fn]+[F6] keys) in three degrees.
[Fn] + [F10]
[Space] key
Inputs a single space character.
(This is the long key with nothing written on it at the center of the front of the keyboard.)
[↑] [↓] [←] [→] (cursor) keys
Move the cursor.
[Enter] key
Also called the return key or the line feed key. This key inputs line feeds and executes
command.
[Ctrl] key
Used in combination with other keys; its functions depend on the application software.
[Shift] key
Used in combination with other keys.
[Alt] key
Used in combination with other keys; its functions depend on the application software.
This switches ON/OFF of the speaker.
When a beep sounds is heard, the speaker is on. When no beep sound,
the beep is turned off.
This selects whether or not to use the entire LCD screen for display in
text mode.
Turns down the backlight of the LCD.
Turns up the backlight of the LCD.
Rotates among the three display options: LCD only, CRT only, both LCD
and CRT.
