Thank you for purchasing an Electrolux
vacuum cleaner.
Please read through these operating
instructions carefully. Above all, please
observe the safety instructions on the
first few pages of this booklet.
This appliance is not intended for use by
person(s) with reduced physical,sensory
or mental capabilities.
Person(s) who lack experience and
knowledge, unless given proper
supervision or instruction by someone
responsible for their safety, are advised
against operating it. Children should
be supervised at all times to ensure
that they do not play with the
appliance,never leave the appliance
running unattended.
The safety standards of Electrolux
electrical appliances are in keeping
with the recognised rules of technology
and the laws governing the safety
of appliances. Prior to operating this
appliance please familiarise yourself with
the following safety instructions.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read all instructions and use the
appliance only for its intended purpose.
This vacuum cleaner is for household
use only.
General Safety Tips
• To protect against electric shock, do
not immerse the electrical cord, plug
or the appliance in water or other
liquids. Do not expose the appliance
to rain or use it outdoors.
• Store the appliance away from
sources of high heat. When the
motor overheats, the appliance will
automatically power off. If this
occurs, switch off the appliance and
wait for a few minutes before
switching on again.
• An extension electrical cord may be
used provided that it has a higher
rating than the appliance. Please
refer to the information provided on
the appliance's rating plate or consult
your nearest authorized Electrolux
Service Centre.
• Do not operate the appliance with
a damaged electrical cord or plug.
If the electrical cord is damaged
it must be replaced by returning
the product to an authorised
Electrolux service centre or similar
qualified person to avoid a hazard.
Damage to the cleaner cable will not
be covered by the warranty.
Never Vacuum
• In wet areas.
• Close to flammable gases,
combustible substances, etc.
• Without a cartridge filter (this may
damage the cleaner) and without
the dust container. A safety device
is fitted which prevents the cover
to close without the filter. Do not
attempt to force to close the cover.
• Sharp objects.
• Fluids. (This can cause serious
damage to the machine.)
• Hot or cold cinders, lit cigarettes
butts, etc.
• Fine dust from plaster, concrete or
ash for example.
The above can cause serious damage to
the motor, damage which is not covered
by the warranty.
Operation
• Before plugging or unplugging any
part or accessory, please switch off
the appliance. Do not tug the
electrical cord to remove the plug
from the wall socket. Always remove
the plug from the wall socket
before any form of user maintenance
or cleaning. Do not handle the plug
with wet hands.
