Figure 9-44 shows the headset circuit diagram.

Analysis
The headset is tested using the GPIO_026's HS_DETECT_N after being inserted to the Y300:


The headset's microphone is powered by MIC_BIAS1 (PM8029/HSED_BIAS1), which is
also used to test the headset's reception function.
The Y300's headset is compatible with two headset cable orders, among which the one
compatible with iPhone is used by default.
Troubleshooting
Fault symptom: No voice is heard from the headset.
Handling: Replace the headset or headset jack. Troubleshoot the fault according to the process
shown in Figure 9-45.
Issue 1.0 (2013-01-24)
Before the headset is inserted, HS_DETECT_N is converted to high level by VREG_S3.
After the headset is inserted, HS_DETECT_N is converted to low level.
