VOLTAGE
Ignition OFF.
Disconnect: Multifunction Switch C202a.
Ignition ON.
Does the turn lamp continue to illuminate?
J4 CHECK THE TURN LAMP GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
Disconnect: Inoperative Turn Lamp.
Measure the resistance between the inoperative turn lamp, harness side
and ground as follows:
Inoperative Turn Lamp Connector-Pin
LH front
C1023-1
RH front
C1043-1
LH rear
C413-1
RH rear
C416-1
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
J5 CHECK THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH
Disconnect: Multifunction Switch.
Carry out the multifunction switch component test.
Refer to Wiring Diagrams Cell
149
Is the multifunction switch OK?

Pinpoint Test K: The Hazard Lamps Are Inoperative

Refer to Wiring Diagrams Cell 90, Turn Signal/Stop/Hazard Lamps for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) provides voltage to the indicator flasher relay through circuit SPB17 (RD). The indicator flasher relay routes the voltage to the multifunction switch through
circuit CLS32 (BN/YE). When the hazard switch is engaged, the multifunction switch routes the voltage to all the turn lamps.
Possible Causes
Fuse
Circuit SPB17 (RD) open
Circuit CLS32 (BN/YE) open, short to ground or voltage
Indicator flasher relay

PINPOINT TEST K: THE HAZARD LAMPS ARE INOPERATIVE
NOTICE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
K1 CHECK THE TURN SIGNAL LAMP OPERATION
Ignition ON.
Place the multifunction switch in the RH and LH TURN positions.
Do the turn signals operate correctly?
K2 CHECK THE HAZARD LAMPS
Ignition OFF.
Turn on the hazard lamps.
Are the lamps illuminated but not flashing?
K3 CHECK FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
Listen to the indicator flasher relay.
Is there a rapid clicking sound coming from the indicator flasher relay?
K4 CHECK CIRCUIT CLS32 (BN/YE) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
Disconnect: Multifunction Switch C202b.
Is there a rapid clicking sound coming from the indicator flasher relay?
K5 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE INDICATOR FLASHER RELAY
