    7. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION 7-1. VISION IF amplifier,afc,video demodulator The IF signal from the tuner is fed through a S AW filter to the differential IF input (pin 48 and 49). The first IF stage consists of 3A C -coupled am plifiers w ith a total gain control range of over 66dB . The reference carrier for the video dem odulator is obtained by a P LL carrier regenerator(elim inating notch filter com prom ises,as in reference tuned circuits for passive carrier regeneration).

    The second phase detector -2 locks the phase of the horizontal drive pulses at output pin 40 to the horizontal flyback pulse at input pin 41. This com pensates for the storage tim e of the horizontal deflection transistor. -2 loop filter (C ) is externally connected to pin 42. The horizontal phase can be given a static off set via IIC bus (H S H "horizontal shift).

  • Page 46 7-10. Base band delay line TDA4665 TD A 4665 is an integrated double baseband delay line of 64 It couples to the TD A 8374 and TD A 8395 w ithout any sw itches or alignm ents. The TD A 4665 consist of tw o m ain blocks : - Tw o delay lines of 64 in sw itched capacitor technique - Internal clock generation of 3M H z, line locked to the sandcastle pulse.

V in term inal, start-up circuit A start-up circuit is to start and stop a operation of a control IC by detecting a voltage appearing at a Vin terminal (pin 9). A t start up of a pow er supply, w hen a voltage at the V in term inal reaches to 8V (typical) by charging up C 817 by the function of a start-up resistor, R 804, a control circuit starts operating by the function of the start-up circuit.

In order to prevent a m alfunction to be caused by a noise and so on, delay tim e is provided by C 1 incorporated in the IC and, therefore, the latch circuit operates w hen the O V P or TS D circuit is in operation, or an external signal input is provided for about 10 or longer.
