Tempmatic Climate Control
The engine must be running for
the climate control system to
operate.

Temperature selector
2 Pushbuttons for function select-
ion (only press individually)
= Defrost
= Defog
= Heating and cooling
= Normal heating

= Normal cooling or fresh
air ventilation
= Off (air supply off)
3 Air conditioning mode control
= Dehumidifying
= Normal setting
= Recirculated air switch
(red indicator lamp in
the button comes on. The but-
ton returns to initial position).
If either button im or !m are
depressed, the air conditioning
compressor is switched on.

The button symbols light up when
the vehicle' s exterior lamps are
turned on. The symbol is brighter
when depressed.
Close all windows and the sliding
roof to ensure proper operation of
the system. Air outlet temperature
is controlled automatically.
Note:
The air conditioner removes con-
siderable moisture from the air
during operation. It is normal for
water to drip on the ground from
the underbody.
