Switching ON/OFF the Server Blades
The system must be powered ON.
The server blade can be switched ON and OFF in the following ways:
– For switching ON the server blade, press the power button of the server
blade (position 1 on figure 37 on page 76).
For switching OFF the server blade, press the power button of the server
blade (position 1 on figure 37 on page 76) for 4 seconds. If the ServerView
agents are installed, a gracefull shutdown is initiated. For hard shutdown,
press the power button for 10 seconds.
– Specified switch-ON time/switch-OFF time
The server blade is switched ON or OFF at a time specified in the ServerView
program. The switch-ON/switch-OFF times also can be set via the web
interface of the management blade.
– After power failure
The server blade automatically switches ON following a power failure
(depending of the settings in the BIOS).
