The Audioscan Remote application communicates with the Verifit through the Remote Operation network
service. The Verifit provides the Remote Operation service works through a single TCP port. The Windows
computer running the application must be configured to access the same TCP port, which is 5900. Some
Windows anti-virus software packages and some network firewalls prevent access to specific ports, including
5900. The presence of such security measures may require changing the rule within the anti-virus package to
allow the Audioscan Remote application to run properly.
