TRANSAXLE GEAR SHIFT LEVER NEU-
TRAL ADJUSTMENT
The transaxle should be in neutral when
the gear shift lever is in neutral (N) (lock
gate) position. The adjustment is preset
at the factory; however, if adjustment is
needed, proceed as follows:
1. Make sure transaxle is in neutral (N).
NOTE: When the tractor rear wheels move
freely, the transaxle is in neu tral.
2. Loosen adjustment bolt in front of the
right rear wheel.
3. Position the gear shift lever in the neu-
tral (N) position.
4. Tighten adjustment bolt securely.
NOTE: If additional clearance is needed
to get to ad just ment bolt, move mower
deck height to the lowest position.

TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
1. Raise hood.
2. Remove bulb hold er from the hole in
the back side of the grill.
3. Replace bulb in holder and install bulb
holder securely back into the hole in
the backside of the grill.
4. Close hood.
INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS
Loose or damaged wiring may cause
your tractor to run poorly, stop running, or
prevent it from starting.
• Check wiring. See electrical wiring
diagram in the Repair Parts section.
TO REPLACE FUSE
Replace with 30 amp automotive-type
plug-in fuse. The fuse holder is located
behind the dash.
TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL AS-
SEM BLY
1. Raise hood.
2. Unsnap headlight wire connector.
3. Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at
sides, tilt toward engine and lift off of
tractor.
4. When replacing hood, be sure to re-
connect the headlight wire con nec tor.

TO AD JUST THROTTLE CON TROL
CABLE
The throttle control has been preset at the
factory and ad just ment should not be nec-
essary. Check adjustment as described
below before loosening cable. If adjust-
ment is necessary, see engine manual
TO AD JUST CARBURETOR
The carburetor has been preset at the
factory and ad just ment should not be nec-
essary. However, minor ad just ment may
be required to compensate for dif fer enc es
in fuel, temperature, altitude or load. If
the carburetor does need ad just ment, see
engine manual.

7. Aliviar el pedal del embrague/freno a la
posición "FRENO" y. Mover la palanca de
cambio al primer engranaje.
8. Aliviar lentamente el pedal del embrague/
freno y guiar lentamente el tractor fuera de
la plataforma.
9. Actuar sobre el freno para parar el tractor,
colocar el freno de mano y la palanca de
control en la posición neutra.
10. Girar la llave de encendido en la posición
"STOP".

INSTALE LA SEGADORA Y LA COR-
REA DE TRANSMISIÓN
Asegúrese de que el tractor se encuentre en
una superficie nivelada, y ponga el freno de
mano.
1. Haga descender la palanca elevadora a su
posición más baja.
CUIDADO: La palanca elevadora funciona
a resorte. Sujétela con fuerza, hágala descend-
er lentamente y tránquela en la posición más
baja.
2. Haga girar el volante lo máximo posible
hacia la izquierda, y ubique la segadora
del lado derecho del tractor con la visera
deflectora hacia la derecha.

NOTA: Cerciórese de que los brazos de sus-
pensión de los lados de la segadora (A) estén
dirigidos hacia adelante antes de deslizarla por
debajo del tractor
3. Deslice la SEGADORA por debajo del trac-
tor hasta que quede bien centrada debajo
de éste.
4. INSTALE PRIMERO LA BARRA ANTI-BAL-
ANCEO (S).
- Por el lado derecho de la cortadora de
césped, introduzca la barra anti-balanceo
en el orificio de la barra de transmisión (T).

- Haga girar la barra hacia usted e introduz-
ca el otro extremo de la barra en el orificio
de la barra posterior de la segadora (D).
Muévala lo necesario para poder insertar y
fijar la barra.
- Sujétela por medio de una arandela y
un resorte de contención 5/16, como se
ilustra en la figura.

5. FIJE LOS BRAZOS DE SUSPENSIÓN
LATERALES DE LA CORTADORA (A)
AL CHASIS - Ubique el orificio del brazo
encima de la clavija (B) que hay en la parte
exterior del chasis del tractor, y fíjelo con
una arandela y un resorte de contención.
6. Realice el mismo procedimiento en el otro
lado del tractor.

7. FIJE LAS PIEZAS DE PROPULSIÓN POS-
TERIORES (C) – Levante la parte posterior
de la cortadora, ubique la ranura de la pieza
de unión por encima de la clavija que hay
en la barra posterior de la cortadora (D)
y fíjela con una arandela y un resorte de
contención.
8. Realice el mismo procedimiento en el otro

lado del tractor.
