TONE SQUELCH AND POCKET BEEP

■ Tone/DTCS squelch and pocket beep

D Tone squelch and DTCS squelch
The tone squelch (CTCSS) or DTCS squelch opens only when
receiving a signal that includes a matching CTCSS tone or
DTCS code, respectively. You can silently wait for calls using
the same tone or code. Separate tone frequencies can be set
for the Subaudible tone encoder (" ") and tone squelch (" ")/
pocket beep (" ") operation.
D Pocket beep
The Pocket Beep function uses subaudible tones or DTCS codes
for calling, and can be used as a "common pager" to inform you
that someone has called while you were away from the transceiver.
