Active Blind Spot Assist

On both variants, the readiness and warning indica-
tors in the outside mirrors light up red for t = 1.5 s
and then yellow when the ignition is switched on
(circuit 15). When a vehicle speed of v > 30 km/h is
reached, the yellow readiness indicators go out.
If, at a vehicle speed of between v = 30 to
250 km/h, a vehicle is located in the radar sensor
system sensing range, the driver is notified of it by
the Blind Spot Assist warning lamp turning red in
the outside mirror on the side of the vehicle on
which the vehicle is located.
Course-correcting brake system interventions are
carried out up to a vehicle speed of v = 200 km/h.
The risk of collision is displayed on the instrument
cluster depending on the side.
