Automatic Tuning
Broadcast stations above a certain signal
strength can be tuned into automatically.
To cancel, press the button again.

Manual Tuning
This is useful to tune into a station with a weak
signal that cannot be found with the automatic
tuning.
Turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise
until you find the frequency you want.

Preset Memory
This function is used to memorize radio sta-
tions. To memorize a station:
Choose one button and press it down for
about 1.7 seconds until you hear a beep.
To select a memorized station:
Having memorized a station, you can press
the same button again and within 1.7 sec-
onds the radio will tune into that memorized
station.

preset scan, press the button again.
• If you choose Preset Scan on the FM
waveband, it will be automatically carried
out on both FM1 and FM2.
• Preset Scan is for reception of strong broad-
cast station transmissions only. You can-
not use it for reception of weak broadcast
station transmissions.

The radio will automatically tune in to stations
which are of a certain signal strength in turn
for about 5 seconds each.
Press the button quickly (for less than 1.7
seconds). To cancel the scan, press the but-
ton again.

Traffic information
Listening to traffic information
Reception of preset traffic information stations
is possible in areas where traffic information
is broadcast.
Press the Traffic Information button.

Press once more to cancel.
• This unit is already preset to receive FM
100.0 MHz broadcasts.
• After pressing the Traffic Information but-
ton, reception of traffic information contin-
ues even if you press the Tuning or Preset
buttons.

• If the battery is disconnected, the preset for
traffic information reception may switch to
FM 100.0 MHz.

Changing preset traffic information sta-
tions
1. Tune to the traffic information station (FM
or AM) you want to preset.
2. Press the Traffic Information button until
you hear a beep.
