Problem
A noise can be heard
after the appliance is
switched off.
One or several residual
heat indicators is
flashing.
E or ER flashes in the
cooking zone displays
along with numbers.
Possible cause and remedy
The fan will continue running until the appliance has
cooled down. It will then switch itself off automatically.
There was an interruption to the power supply during
operation, and the cooktop has switched itself off.
^ This doesn't indicate a fault. Switch the cooktop
back on.
Check the food's level of doneness and whether it
was affected by the power cut before continuing
cooking on the cooking zone.
There was a power cut while residual heat was still
present.

The overheating protection mechanism has been
activated.
^ You can continue using the cooktop as soon as the
fault message has disappeared (see "Overheating
protection").
ER03
One or several of the sensors is covered, for example,
by finger contact, food boiling over or by an object
such as an oven glove or tea towel.
^ Clean the control panel or remove the object (see
"Safety switch-off").
All other faults
A fault has occurred.
^ Switch the appliance off and call Miele.
