APPENDIX E: SYSTEM RESET

Abnormal operation procedures and other problems can
cause the PSR-400/PSR-500 system to "lock up" or malfunc-
tion. Normally, simply turning the power off and then on again
will solve the problem. If turning the power off and on does
not restore normal operation, use the SYSTEM RESET proce-
dure described below (all PAGE MEMORY data is initialized
when a SYSTEM RESET is executed: see page 14).

Turn the power off.

Turn the power on while holding both the CUSTOM
[RECORD/END] and [CLEAR] buttons.

The MULTI DISPLAY should appear as shown below,
indicating that the SYSTEM RESET has been successful.
• If the [POWER] button is locked up and cannot be used to turn the
power off, unplug and then re-insert the AC adaptor if one is being
used, or remove and then replace the batteries.
• If none of the above restores operation, unplug the AC adaptor or
remove the batteries for several hours, then try again.
