2 . 1 PRINTER MECHANISM
COMPONENTS
The printer mechanism of the TM-U375 consists of the
following component mechanisms:
• Transport
• Printing
• Detection
• Paper feed
• Ribbon feed
• Paper roll take-up
These components are described in detail in the following
sections.

OPERATING PRINCIPLES
2.2.1 Transport Mechanism
Carriage feed gear train
The carriage feed gear train consists of the parts shown in
Figure 2-1. The carriage is mounted on the belt and moves
to the left or right, depending on whether the carriage motor
rotates forwards or backwards.

The paper feed gear train consists of the parts shown in
Figure 2-2.

intermediate gear.
The intermediate holder gear then
rotates, and the intermediate holder roller set and the
intermediate drive roller set rotate in the directions of
and C, respectively.
In addition, the rotational force transferred to the C feed belt
from the intermediate drive gear causes the V feed roller set
to rotate in the direction of
D.
