S t e p 1 :
Activate Valet/ Programming mode by manually
turning the ignition on and off five times (between Acc and
O n ) with car key within a 7 second period.
The parking lights will flash once with successful completion of
this step.
Step2 :
Within a 7 second period after cycling the ignition for the 5
Press the button for a 1/2 sec. The car parking lights will flash
once to confirm that the transmitter has been programmed. You can
continue programming the additional remotes. The parking lights will
flash two times when the programming mode has expired.
Reservation Mode (manual transmission only)
In order to auto-start your manual transmi s sion vehi c l e, you must first set the Compustar
system to Reservation Mode before leavi n g your vehicle. The purpose of Reservati on
Mode is to l e ave the transmission gear i n the neutral position when you leave your
vehicl e . Reservation mode i s intended for use on MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS ONLY
and NO T FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSI ONS. Reser vation Mode must be engaged
each and every ti m e you l e ave your manual transmi s si on vehicle i n order to auto-start it.
Note :
The system i s not recommended for manual transmissi o n vehicl es with
rem ovabl e or converti b l e tops.
Important Requi r ements to activate Reservation Mode

The transmi s sion must be in the NEUTR AL position.

- The vehi c l e wi n dows must be roll ed up.
Do not set the reservation mode with people in the vehicle.

- Do not auto-star t the vehicl e with peopl e i n side i t .
Activating Reservation Mode ( MANUAL TRANSMISSION ONLY )

Step1 :
After arrivi n g at your destination, and B EFORE TURNING YOUR
E NGINE OF F, pl a ce the transmission in the Neutral posi tion.
Step2 :
Activate the parki ng brake.
Step3 :
Remove your foot from the foot brake.
Step4 :
Remove the key from the ignition, and the engi ne wil l remai n running.

Valet Mode

Whil e the vehicle is i n valet mode, the only features that wil l functi o n wi l l be the keyless

In order to enter Valet mode, press the
second. In order to manually enter Val e t Mode, insert your key into the igni t ion and turn
the ignition on and off
Di a gnosing probl e ms wi t h Auto-Start
If there is a problem in auto-starting your vehicle,the the CompuStar system will
do one of two things; if it fails for any of the reasons listed in the table below, it will
flash the parkinglights three times then flash the error number. Otherwise, it will
attempt to start the vehicle three times. If, after three times, the vehicle will not
start or stay running, the the CompuStar system will shut down. In either case,
please see your istaller to resolve the situation.

Exi t the vehi c le and close the door wi thin two minutes after activating
the parking brake. The engine wi l l shut off and reservation m ode for
the remote starter is now complete.

You can exit Valet Mode only by pressing buttons
