The Lithium batteries used in our devices meet the requirements of the international dangerous
goods regulations for the various transport operators (Special Provision 188 of the UN
Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods Model Regulations, Special Provision
A45 of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulation and the
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Technical Instructions).
This refers to the original battery or original replacement batteries only.
Siemens strongly recommends that no repairs be carried out on defective devices or modules.
Special electronic components are used which have to be treated in accordance with the
guidelines for ESD (Electrostatic Sensitive Devices). Special production techniques are required
to avoid damaging the wave-soldered multi-layer board, the sensitive components, and the
protective varnish.
If a problem cannot be solved by the measures described in the previous sections, we
recommend returning the complete device to the factory.
Please observe the following:
The original transport packaging material should be used to return a device.
If alternative packaging is used, ensure that the protection against shock requirements
specified in IEC 60255-21-1 Class 2 and IEC 60255-21-2 Class 1 are fulfilled.
Before returning a device read out and save all the configuration, function and control
settings. For instructions, please refer to the Internet under www.powerquality.de.
Please enclose an exact description of the problem and specify a contact person who can be
contacted directly by our repair service should any questions arise.
Note
Repaired devices are returned from the factory with the initial design and setting parameters
according to the order number. All configuration and setting parameters have the default setting.
