Configuring your Phone

1. The Welcome! screen displays. The default language for
your phone is English. If you would like to select another
language, tap English and scroll up or down to select
one of the listed languages.
2. If you are visually impaired or hard of hearing, tap
ACCESSIBILITY to change the accessibility settings.
3. Tap START.
4. At the Wi-Fi screen, set up a Wi-Fi connection if you
would like to do that now. For more information, refer to
"Wi-Fi" on page 141.
5. Tap NEXT.
6. At the EULA & Diagnostic Data screen, tap "I
understand and agree to the terms and conditions
above" to place a checkmark in the selection box. Tap
"Yes" to allow Samsung to collect error log data or "No
thanks" to prevent data collection.
7. Tap NEXT.
8. At the Name screen, enter your First and Last names in
the provided fields so that your phone can personalize
some applications. Tap

9. At the Google services screen, a green checkmark
displays next to the text that explains that you allow
Google's location service to collect anonymous location
data from your phone. If you disagree, tap the
checkmark to remove it.
10. A green checkmark also displays next to the text that
explains that you allows Google applications to scan for
nearby Wi-Fi networks to improve location accuracy and
for other purposes, even when Wi-Fi is off. If you
disagree, tap the checkmark to remove it.
11. A green checkmark also displays next to the text that
explains that you allow Google to collect diagnostic and
usage information. If you disagree, tap the checkmark to
remove it. Tap NEXT.
12. At the Samsung account screen, tap CREATE
ACCOUNT to open a new account, SIGN IN if you
already have a Samsung account, or SKIP to set up an
account later.
13. At the Dropbox screen, tap CREATE ACCOUNT to
create a Dropbox account, SIGN IN to sign in to an
existing account, or SKIP to set up an account later.
