How many hours can I record onto the HDD or a
disc?
The maximum recording time possible will vary depending on the recording quality mode set.
There are 5 possible modes with HD recordings: DR, HG, HX, HE, and HL.
There are 5 possible modes with SD recordings: DR, XP, SP, LP, and EP.
DR recording mode, or "Data Record", records the programme data stream, including any
subtitles, etc. The data can be recalled on playback so subtitles can be switched on and off at
will during the playback (when subtitles were transmitted with the programme).
