When you configure the modem, you change the factory default settings to new values. You can return these
parameters to their default values to provide a known starting point if you are troubleshooting or you simply want to
configure new parameters.
There are two ways to reset the modem to its factory default values:
• Using the Web Interface (below)
• Using the modem's Reset button (see

Active links are lost when you reset to factory default values.

Step

Select Maintenance|Restart/Set Factory Default to access the System Factory Defaults page
(Figure
7-5).

If you want to reset all configuration settings to the default settings, click the box Reset to Factory
Default Settings, then click Restart.
If you want to restart the modem and keep the current configuration settings, do not click the box Reset
to Factory Default Settings. Rather, just click Restart.
After clicking the restart button, please wait for several seconds to let the system restart.
